Okay, I admit it, I was a little intimidated by the new Birthday Cake die for the BIg Shot machine... There are several pieces, and frankly, it just looked a little difficult to put together. I am posting this picture of my finished cake, because you can see the "tear" lines where I was learning the positioning of the stand "legs." It was a trial and error process for me, but once I got the hang of it -- no problem. My Big Shot club will be coming over this week, and we are going to construct this cake (using the Rainbow Sherbet DSP and Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore and Yo Yo Yellow card stock). For the outside of the card, I used the Party Hearty stamp set -- one of my new favorites! I would really encourage you to try this 3-D card -- it is a lot of fun! :)
Other Big Shot projects for our club this week include:
This is a very simple card using the Urban Oasis DSP (can you tell I LOVE our DSP -- which is "Buy 3, get 1 free" in May!!!!). The BIg Shot dies used for this card are the Stampin' Up! Billboard decorative strip die (for the initials) and the Stampin' Up! Pennant die (for the scallop circle). Other items used: Baja Breeze, Whisper White card stock; 1-3/4" circle punch; and Basic Gray taffeta ribbon.
Another project we will be making is the simple pouch box using the Walk in the Park DSP from the Occasions Mini Catalog (love that!). The box is embellished with flowers/leaves from the Stampin' Up! Birds & Blooms sizzlits 4-pack dies; Regal Rose, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss card stock, clear rhinestone brad, and Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain ribbon.
I am working on other projects... stay tuned! Images copyright Stampin' Up! 1990-2009.
