While January can be a bit of a downer (in places like Ohio!), it does mark the beginning of our favorite time of the Stampin' Up! year! Sale-A-Bration! I am holding card classes beginning at the end of January and had some fun designing the cards this week! This first card uses materials from the new spring catalog - the wonderful Core'dinations card stock (Primrose Petals) along with a flower and framelit dies from the Secret Garden stamp set. Of course, we had to finish it off with a large rhinestone brad for the flower center as well!
Will you be my Valentine? Here is a card made with accessories from the Spring occasions catalog as well - the Honeycomb textured embossing folder and the More Amore Specialty designer series paper (which also comes wtih 2 laser-cut sheets of doily hearts). It's very simple to get the hexagon shapes for the honeycomb sheet - just run the printed paper through the Big shot and the shapes practically tear out with a little help from a pair of scissors.
Maybe because it's been quite rainy here the past several weeks, but I was inspired to use the new Rain or Shine stamp set and coordinating Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series paper to create this card. I coordinated with the polka dot designer series paper and topped the umbrella with a rhinestone (have to have bling!). Very simple - the images are so cute that not a lot of extra "fuss" is needed!
Monogram cards are always popular - not only to use yourself, but to give as a gift. At the class, people will be able to select from a number of colors to use - here, I've used Baja Breeze card stock as well as the Silver Glimmer paper. It has also been embossed with the Lacy Brocade textured embossing folder. I accented with the very cool new Delicate Details Lace Tape as well as Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon (I love that ribbon - so easy to tie!). I've stamped the circle with the script stamp from the new Collage Curios stamp set and placed the monogram on top with black ink. You could substitute the monogram for any image for a cute, simple card!
