Summer Fun!
Here is a cute magnetic memo board that we made at our last group meeting. Whether you want to use it for your office, locker or dorm room -- it is a cute decorative accent.
We used galvanized shingles as the base. The Island Oasis paper is taped to the shingle, and then it is decorated with magnetized pieces. The Pumpkin Pie card stock could be used to hold a picture, or you could put a pad of post-it notes on it and hang it near your desk. The flowers were made using the hawaiin flower die cut with the Big Shot. Each flower was sponged (Rose Red, So Saffron and Old Olive) and a rhinestone brad was placed in the center. Jumbo Pewter eyelets were set at the top using the Crop-o-dile, and the striped Pumpkin Pie ribbon was used for hanging.
Side note -- to get the angeled edges, I used the Chomper (found at Archivers and other craft stores). It cuts through very thick materials (chip board, metal, etc).
