Occasions Card Classes

Just finished up my September Occasions Card classes - so much fun seeing everyone. Here are the projects/cards we made this time:

Halloween treat - super quick and easy. Cut out the Top Note in Rich Razzleberry and stamp with Wicked Cool set. Run through Big Shot again with the spiderweb embossing folder. Fold in half and staple around chocolate-covered pretzel. Embellish!

Black and White card - one of my very favorite combinations... always classy. This card is very simple and can be used for any occasion: sympathy, anniversary, wedding, etc. Stamp using Flowering Flourishes stamp set with Staz-On ink. Accessories: polka dot embossing folder, polka dot ribbon.

Margarita card - Happy Hour is one of my favorite new sets! This card features the Floral District designer series paper paired with Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo. I also used the Herringbone embossing folder.

"The Blues" card - I really have to say that Summer Starfruit was not my favorite color initially... however, I have changed my thinking. I really like it with Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point. The color combination works great. Here, I used Betsy's Blossoms stamp set along with Teeny Tiny wishes, and embellished with mini brads, Word Window punch and Modern Label punch.

Bandaid card - this is a darling card idea that I stole from Charissa in my downline... so super cute and easy. Create your own bandaid using Kraft card stock and piercing tool. Add a little sparkly red paper and you're set. Colors: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Real Red and Very Vanilla.

Fall leaves card - I wanted to use the new die and stamp set from the holiday mini catalog. I really like the combination. This card features the wood grain embossing folder with Soft Suede card stock. Leaves are cut from Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Night of Navy. I crumbled the leaves to give them a little texture, too.

September Stamp Club - Fun Projects await!

Hi there! Happy Labor Day!

Looking forward to seeing my stamp clubs this month. We are making two cards using two cute new stamp sets as well as a Halloween treat bag using the Ghoulish Googlies designer kit featured in the new Holiday mini catalog.

Fabulous You is a great new stamp set that features something we all love - SHOES! I created this simple card using Real Red ink (using the blender pens to soften the flowers). It is accented with adhesive pearls and red stitched ribbon. The card front was run through the Big Shot using the polka dots embossing folder, and the Labels frame was used as well.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am always up for Happy Hour (which happens to be the name of the stamp set used for this card). The olives were created using the 3/4" and 1/4" circle punches. Colors used: Old Olive, Basic Black and Real Red.

August Stamp Creations

We are creating all sorts of cute things this month at stamp club!

Cute and simple - this 3x3 gift enclosure card features the Quintessential flower - one stamp where you can use 5 different punches. Color scheme: Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry.

I couldn't wait to try out the new Holiday Frame embossing folder - of course, I wanted to see how versatile it was. I designed this very simple whie-on-white card using the folder, and the placing one of the new paper flowers in the center. Accents sponged with Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron ink, and then I also sponge-daubed the embossed frame with Versamark ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I love the sparkle!

I borrowed this cute card idea from a swap I received from demonstrator Nicole Olsen. I changed out a few things but wanted to show he new Woodgrain embossing folder. The main punch used to create the doggies is the Owl Punch (believe it or not). The only punches I used to supplement that were the Word Window punch (for the ears) and the small oval.

Summertime Stamping -- July Club Projects

It's been more than two months since I have blogged -- my new position has left little time for stamping and creativity. However, I am very excited about the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog and am ready for July stamp clubs and open houses!

Love the new butterfly punch - I punched these butterflies out of the new Patio Party designer series paper. The card base is Baja Breeze that has been run through the Fancy Fan embossing folder. The white frame was made with the Big Shot and the new Apothecary Accents Framelits. I modified a sample in the new catalog for this card - stamp set: Sweet Essentials.

Here is a cute gift bag idea - super easy and cute. I used the Daydream Medallions Stamp set along with the new Floral Frames Framelits for the Big Shot. Inks/Card Stock used: Primrose Petals and Lucky Limeade. I embossed the center flower with Versamark and Irridescent Ice embossing powder. Designer series paper: Floral District.

Here is a cute card designed by Charissa May Riley in my downline. I changed it a little bit, but most of the creativity is hers! Designer series paper: Summer Smooches. I used the new In Color Dahlias for the flower center. I really like the Bitty Banners Stamp set and the Bitty Banners Framelits - a lot of cute possibilities. April Stamp Club cards

Spring is here - which means flowers, flowers, flowers! At least, that's what I focused on for April Stamp Club projects!

This card was created with the Summer Smooches designer series paper and the Designer Rosette XL Die for the Big Shot. The new Summer Smooches paper, stamp set and fabric brads are very cute!

More flowers... This card uses the Mixed Bunch stamp set and Blossom punch. The finishing touch was the Smooch spritz, which gives it a sparkly, iridescent finish. And embellished with pleated pink satin ribbon and Blossom Builders (from Occasions mini catalog).

Creativity Journals Galore

To kick off my new stamp club year, I gave each stamp club member a blank Stampin' Up! On Board Journal. At a recent Stampin' Up! Regional conference, the idea of a "Creativity Journal" was highlighted. I really loved that idea and thought what better way to get everyone's creative juices flowing! You might remember the creativiy journal I posted in January featuring the Everyday Enchangment designer series paper.

So, each lady was given the optional task of making her own creativity journal and bringing the decorated journal to stamp club in March (no rules - be as creative as you want!). About half of the ladies participated, I was thrilled with the results! At each stamp club, we did a random drawing from the submissions and selected a winner to receive $20 of free product! I think you'll agree that the journals turned out great - each a reflection of the wonderful person who created it! :)  The creativity journal above was made by my dear friend, Georgine, who made a journal for her upcoming trip to Paris with her hubbie. Below are additional journals created by wonderful stamp club ladies!

Spring Stamping-Bunny Basket & St. Patty's Day

I was looking for cute Spring projects for Stamp Club this month, and I found a lot of inspiration from fellow demonstrators! I know St. Patrick's Day was last weekend, but luckily my stamp clubs met beforehand. We made these cute leprechaun cards using all punches. Here is one example I found when I did an internet serach. Punches we used include: Word Window, Scallop circle, Ornament, Tag, Decorative Label and Blossom. Background paper is Wild Wasabi designer series paper paired with Pumpkin Pie card stock.

 

Finding Easter ideas is easy on the internet as well. What did we do before Google? This basket was the inspiration for my Easter bunny basket stamp club project. Using the Big Shot, the party favor box die works perfectly for the base. And, I ran white card stock through the Big Shot using the Top Note die. The face is made of all punches. I simplified it by not adding whiskers, and I think it turned out just as cute (and easier assembly).

 

Since the two projects above were somewhat labor-intensive, the last March stamp club project is what I called the "2 minute card." You could seriously make this card in just minutes. Selecting the designer series paper combination seems to be the most time consuming part! I wanted to feature some of the wonderful Sale-A-Bration product, so I made this card using the Fresh Vintage stamp set and Everyday Enchantment designer series paper (available through the end of March as part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion). Card stock colors are Very Vanilla and Poppy parade. I cut identical strips of designer series paper 1" x 4". Just piece together in whatever combination you like, and voila! Stamp the flower, punch out, put onto card with a Stampin' Dimenstional, and you are good to go!

Mocha Morning Scrapbook pages

Mocha Morning designer series paper lends itself nicely to scrapbook pages for heritage albums as well as special occasions such as weddings and anniversaries. Here is a two-page spread I created using Mocha Morning, along with the Mixed Bunch stamp set and Blossom punch from the new Stampin' Up! spring occasions mini catalog.

Embellishments include gold and silver embossing powders, black and white striped grosgrain, Victoria 5/8" crochet trim, black and Very Vanilla card stocks, Soft Suede card stock, antique brads, rhinestone brads, Lace Ribbon border punch and stampin' dimensinals.

Stamped Cards for All Occasions!

I love this new stamp set in the mini catalog called Love and Laughter. I found a lot of samples using this stamp set on Stamp Crazy Girl's website, and I used those as my inspiration! Thank you to her!!

This is a classic card using Morning Mocha designer series paper. It could be a masculine card if you used the striped paper rather than the swirly design. The card is embellished with ivory satin ribbon and the scallop punch. I used the medallion stamp from the Fresh Vintage Sale-A-Bration stamp set.

I cannot take any credit for this card! One of the wonderful ladies in my downline, Marilyn Goodrich, designed this card using the new Mixed Bunch stamp set and Blossom punch. The only thing I added was the brad (from the Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment brad pack) in the center of the flower.

This card features Sprinkled Expressions (from Sale-A-Bration) and is quick and easy. I stamped in Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink, and I ran the paper through the Big Shot with the Lattice embossing folder. Accessorized with Melon Mambo polka dot ribbon.

I discovered this card on a fellow demonstrator's site (Stamp4fun) and fell in love with its simplicity. It features almost all Sale-A-Bration products: Fresh Vintage stamp set, Everyday Enchantment designer series paper, Everyday Enchantment brad and ribbon pack.
